the location was acceptable. free parking was available at the rear of the hotel.
the breakfast was a let down. items were hard and cold at a cost of 15 pounds. the scrambled egg was barely passable and the toast was similarly disappointing.

a charming surprise

useful ironbig shower
The room included an iron and ironing board. That was useful. the provision of shampoo and other toiletries saved me from having to pack them. the fan in the room was a thoughtful touch, given the warm weather! the big walk-in shower was also a plus.

I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating upon my early arrival. The lady at reception secured a ready room for me. The room had modern features and a big bed. Tea, coffee, tunnocks tea cakes, and bottled water were available.
The bathroom radiator operated on a timer, and its button was hidden behind the luggage rack.

I noticed the breakfast area looked to have plenty of choice. The hotel has an arrangement with a fabulous restaurant called 'Coast'. They informed us when our table was ready. That was helpful.

Excellent Stay in Central Location

free parkingmodern roomfirm bedwell stocked bar
I found free parking behind the hotel very convenient. The room was clean and modern with a comfortable, firm bed. The tea, coffee, and hot chocolate making facilities were good. The bar was well stocked with various beverages.
The road outside was quite busy and a little noisy. Perhaps a room at the back would have been quieter.
Facilities

On-site facilities included a bar offering various drinks and complimentary parking at the back. The location allowed convenient access to transportation and nearby shops and restaurants in town.
